How Explore places uses information.

Information sent to Google Maps

Opening a city's explorer loads Google Maps in your browser and sends the selected city and category to Google Places through CityFit's server. Selecting Show reviews requests the place's details and reviews. Photo requests also send the selected photo identifier through CityFit's server.

The explorer does not request your device's precise location. Google receives connection information, including your IP address, when your browser loads its map or place photos.

How this information is handled

Google handles information under its Privacy Policy, which applies to these Google Maps features.

CityFit keeps the returned place content in memory while you browse the explorer and does not save reviews or hours to its database.
